I made this piece on the roof of my house in Oaten Hill, Canterbury, during a thunderstorm. The oil paints were moved around by the wind and water as I was making the piece. I'm obsessed with textures, so really this was an experiment to see what sort of painting the thunderstorm would make on its own. It's deliberatly very abstract and I think it may have been painted over a figurative painting.
